Emphasizing beauty in San Diego brides

Question:

Is it better to have someone do both hair and makeup?

Answer:

No, and I am saying this from a time aspect, as well as an expertise aspect.

It is important to have a steady flow during your ready time.  You do not want people
rushed, and you do not want people sitting around.  Having one professional do hair,
and another professional do makeup, is the best way to be sure that everyone will be
ready in a timely, stress free manner.

In addition to time, it is important to hire someone who is an expert in their field.  If you
do decide to go the route of hiring the same person to do both, make sure they are an
expert in both.  Do not choose someone who is an expert in one area, and just "pretty
good" in the other.

I work with a network of professionals who I can refer you to for hair.

Question:

What if I never wear makeup?

Answer:

My job is to emphasize your natural beauty.

Some brides like more, some like less.  There are some things that are essential in
wedding makeup.  Examples are even skin tone, full lash lines, and lip color.  No
matter how much or how little makeup we use, my goal is to make you feel like a more
polished version of yourself.

Question:

Do I have to have a trial run?

Answer:

No, you do not have to have a trial run.  I recommend one, however, so you can wear
your makeup before the wedding and then contact me the next day to update me on
how it wore on your skin.  Also, it's always great to see what friends and family think!

Question:

What's with all the hype about airbrush foundation?

Answer:

I am such a fan of airbrush foundation that I do not do traditional foundation.  The best
thing about airbrush is the staying power, hands down.  Most brides have said they did
not have to touch up at all.  The airbrush foundation that I use is water based, so it
goes on smooth, stays strong through tears and does not transfer nearly as easily as
a cream or liquid foundation.  Because it is applied through an airbrush system, it
sprays evenly on the skin and does not leave any type of pattern that a sponge or
foundation brush would leave.  Airbrush foundation makes you look flawless and
photographers LOVE it - The amount of coverage I apply is up to you.  No matter how
much coverage we apply, it will feel like you have nothing on.  Plus, it is relaxing, and
since makeup is typically the last thing you do before putting on your dress, it is nice to
sit down and relax and feel the cooling mist on your skin.
